Tyler Saenz is the founder and CEO of PARKLINQ, a Honolulu-based parking technology and management company. He founded PARKLINQ in October 2016 and launched its digital platform in 2020, with a focus on improving parking access for residents and the destinations they visit.

The idea grew out of an $80 handshake arrangement for a nearby driveway. That practical solution to a local problem developed into a company serving resorts, visitor attractions, and other properties across Hawaiʻi. Saenz’s ambition is to take technology built for Hawaiʻi to tourism markets around the world.

PARKLINQ’s LocalPerks™ technology helps protect access for locals. Residents can verify their eligibility from a phone to unlock free or discounted parking and resident-only spaces at participating locations, without downloading an app.

For property owners, PARKLINQ combines digital parking technology with company-funded setup and full-service management. The approach helps properties protect local access while turning visitor demand into parking revenue, with no upfront setup cost to the owner. The platform has processed more than $50 million in parking payments.

Saenz is named in patent records as Tyler D. Saenz, inventor of U.S. Patents 11,765,241 and 11,848,997, both titled “User attribute validation based on location requests.” In 2026, Pacific Business News recognized him in its 40 Under 40 class.
